Problem Note 44218: SAS® Information Delivery Portal promotion tools cannot remove a permission tree when the name of the user or group contains non-ASCII characters
The Portal promotion tool cannot remove a single permission tree when the name of the user or group contains non-ASCII characters. As a workaround, you can manually delete the permission tree. To manually delete the tree, follow these steps:
- Log in to SAS® Management Console as an unrestricted user, and open the User Manager plug-in.
- Open the properties of the affected user or group, and deny ReadMetadata permission to the Portal Administrator (by default, the administrator is the SAS Trusted User).
- Log in to the Portal as the Portal Administrator. Because you denied ReadMetadata to the administrator for the affected user or group, the administrator does not know that the user or group exists.
- Return to SAS Management Console, and remove the denial of ReadMetadata permission for the Portal Administrator.
